The London Evening Standard has launched London United to harness the power of football to change the lives of some of London’s most disadvantaged young people. 18 grassroots charities have been awarded grants to fund coaching qualifications for a cohort of new coaches. The training will be provided by the FA and will improve the employment chances of these new coaches whilst engaging more young people in the sport, giving them direction, new skills and discipline.
